Linking to the Divine

Linking to the Divine

So many paths, so many supposed methods to God ... if He is indeed there, what's the quickest way to "get in touch" with Him?

So ... after more than 20 years meditating with all manners of different meditation systems on this Earth, I've had a realisation, this morning: if you wish to connect to the Father, truly connect, and are not just dabbling in this thing ... then all you have to do is talk to Him. Have a conversation with Him. Talk to Him as if He is your best friend, in life (which, come to think of it, He probably is). Put to Him your deepest worries, your dearest desires, etc. . He knows, better than anyone else, what you need, what you want, etc. . You don't need to be explicit or even clear, in words. As Jesus is said to have said: "when you pray, don't use too many words. God already knows what you need, even before you utter any word".

Why do people meditate so much, and spend so much effort in trying to "contact God"? Lack of faith (paradoxically), perhaps. It seems to me, at this point, anyway, that God will find you wherever you are, on whatever "vibrational level" you find yourself on; just keep talking to Him. Yes, I did say "don't use too many words"; but, by that, I meant when you describe your own woes, worries and desires to Him: for He already knows them. Nevertheless, if you do keep in touch with Him, constantly, it may show Him that you are indeed committed and serious to walking in His path, to abandoning yourself to His will. And don't worry: God's will is for the best for you - don't fear to let go to it. It really seems to me, after all this time, that He does know best, and He also knows of the shortest way in which to get what you desire. All you have to do is, for want of a better expression, "let Him drive".

Listen to good music. Look at wonderful paintings, sculptures. Read books; for all of these will strengthen your imagination, your "right-brain" (so to speak), and will make you a more open and open-minded person, in life. Be sensitive to beauty, is perhaps what I am trying to say.

"I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me", Jesus is said to have said. Nevertheless, he is also said to have said: "those who understand these teachings of Mine, and follow them, they shall do even greater things than I, for the Father is greater than Me". I look at this alike the droplet in the ocean; the droplet is made out of the ocean, but it is not the entire ocean; far from it; it is a drop of water. Nevertheless, this drop of water is made out of the very same substance as the ocean, of the same quality of water as the ocean itself.

Alike the Roman centurion, who asked Jesus to heal his servant, is said to have said: "Lord, don't trouble yourself to come to my house, I am not worthy. Just say the word, however, and my servant shall be healed. How do I know this? Well, I'm also a man, just like you; and, just like you, I have inferiors and superiors in life. So: if I tell my servant, who is my inferior in the hierarchy of life, to do something, he does it. In the same manner, if you tell my servant's illness (which is your inferior) to leave him alone, it'll comply". We all have superiors and inferiors in the hierarchy of life, I deduce from this; however, we are all made of the same substance: God's own children.

It really seems to me (at this point in time, at least) that it really is as simple as this.
